Who?

I’m a writer, artist and designer who lives in sunny Saint John, New Brunswick, and that’s in Canada for those who don’t know. I commute regularly to Kingston, Ontario, where my fiancee Nicole is doing her PhD in teh medievalz.

I have an irrational affection for Belgian things, even though I’ve never been there. I love steak-frites, comics, the Atomium, certain beers, waffles, Jean-Claude Van Damme… not mussels though. And I guess I’m really just lukewarm about Van Damme if pressed on the subject.

I have a wonderful son called Jack, named after Jack Kirby. He loves Star Wars, Lego, and Star Wars Lego. He’s 10.

In my spare time I enjoy comics (reading and making), movies, theatre (attending and performing), running, music (especially jazz, punk, and power pop), and reading. I am a Buddhist, with a casual but committed zen practice.
